The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and overall quality of the financial reporting of CIM Group and its subsidiaries in accordance to US GAAP.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Handle full-cycle accounting including preparation and analysis of the financial statements and general ledgers
  • Complete month-end close activities and accurate reporting of key revenue data
  • Review revenue agreements for proper revenue recognition in accordance with the company’s revenue recognition policies and accounting standards including ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Draft revenue recognition policies and memos as necessary
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives to improve and automate revenue accounting processes
  • Work closely and coordinate with property and fund accounting team members to identify any inconsistencies and resolve variances
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information for internal and external purposes
  • Handle a variety of special ad hoc projects as needed 
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA certification preferred or working to achieve same
  • 5+ years overall experience; experience in private equity/real estate or public accounting preferred
  • Extensive knowledge in U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 Revenue Standard
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, pivot tables, nested formulas).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP accounting.
  • Experience in Yardi, MRI, J. D. Edwards or comparable software.
  • Familiarity with Nexus Payables or comparable software preferred
