The Director of Payroll Services will be responsible for oversite and execution of payroll functions for all CIM managed hotels ensuring all employees are compensated in a fair, accurate and timely manner in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

· Provides corporate leadership to each hotel’s payroll departments, executes payroll functions as necessary
Duties / Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Payroll System implementation in both new and operating propertiesProcess payroll in multi-state, multi union & nonunion environmentImplements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and timely at all propertiesMaintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures related to payrollIdentifies and recommends updates to accounting processes and procedures Able to maintain working knowledge of payroll taxes and compliance for the portfolioAnalytical review of payroll information including wages, taxes, and benefits and to have the ability to provide recommended changes to processes as necessaryCreate and provide monthly, quarterly and yearly reports for each property as it relates to payroll performanceEnsure payroll systems are properly set up for each local as it relates to taxes, federal, state and local government regulations, etc.Overall responsible for annual 8027 Tip Reporting at each propertyAssist in the reconciliation of any payroll related accounts monthlyAct as point of contact for general payroll questions when property payroll leaders are unavailablePrepare and manager audits (Workers Comp, Payroll Compliance, etc.)Coordinate with Human Resources on any system related payroll functions including annual benefit enrollment processes.Systems Implementation – ConfigurationPayroll LegislationAbility to manage multi state and multi-property issues Produce 5500 reports when applicableManage ACA forms and complianceImplements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay ratesPrepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactionsEnsures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practicesFacilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditorsMaintains payroll records according to requirementsIdentifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and proceduresEvaluates and identifies areas of development for payroll personnel for the properties in the portfolioDue diligence for transitions and acquisitions Act as payroll advisor for the hospitality groupPerforms other duties as assigned
Experience Required:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent work experienceAdvanced degree advantageousAt least three years working in multi-unit / multi-state operation in a similar capacityProficient in excel and other accounting related softwareExperience in ADP payroll is preferred but not necessaryAble to learn HIRS, T&A, payroll and labor management systemsExperience in implementing Payroll Systems in new properties beneficialExperience in working in a Union Environment and the payroll processes involvedStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong supervisory and leadership skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareProficient with payroll softwareSecond language beneficial, Spanish advantageous
