This key team member will be responsible for inputting and analyzing the leases for commercial properties in the company’s portfolio to ensure all leases are properly recorded, under the direction of the Senior Lease Analyst and VP, Financial Services.
Essential FunctionsCoordinate with third party service providers, leasing department, property managers, financial reporting accountants, for lease set ups and abstractionsReview real estate leases abstractions prepared by third party abstractor for accuracy and completenessMaintain key tenant, unit, and lease terms within the CIM accounting systemTrack and perform lease data updates in the CIM accounting systemAssist the Senior Lease Analyst to analyze lease terms for potential accounting issuesAssist the Senior Lease Analyst to perform straight-line rent revenue recognition analysisEnsure compliance with internal controlsMaintain key lease reports to maintain the CIM accounting system and database across all team functions (Asset Management, Portfolio Oversight, Leasing, Property Management) Track and review the lease commissions for each commissionable leasing deal
Education/Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree required. Strong preference for Accounting DegreeMinimum of 1 year of accounting or relevant real estate experienceMinimum of 1 year of lease administration or lease abstract experience
