The Partner Relations Associate position is based at CIM’s office in either Los Angeles or New York and reports to the Managing Director and Head of the Global Partners Group. As a key institutional fundraising and investor relations team member, the Partner Relations Associate role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the achievement of CIM’s fundraising and investor relations objectives with CIM’s largest and most sophisticated institutional investors.
In this position, you’ll build relationships with CIM’s existing and prospective partners and co-investors while leveraging your excellent communication skills and solutions-oriented thinking. You’ll identify each partner’s investment objectives, match their needs to appropriate CIM offerings and effectively present each product’s features and benefits. As a visible representative of CIM, you’ll put your exceptional customer service abilities to use through ongoing relationships and regular contact with partners and prospects.
Your responsibilities will enable you to become an expert in the institutional investment market and a trusted resource for your senior team members as you research institutional investors including public and private pension funds, insurance companies, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations and fund of funds. You’ll also schedule meetings between the Partner Relations Manager and current and potential partners, provide product and portfolio updates, monitor investor due diligence processes and carefully document capital raising activities.
A top performer in this role is a positive, highly-motivated and detail-oriented professional with prior experience in private markets, alternatives, investment banking, institutional sales and/or capital raising, a background in the real estate, infrastructure, credit or investment banking industry and a desire to learn.
