CIM Group Brings Popular Clothier Noah to Sycamore District
LOS ANGELES – October 24, 2023 – CIM Group, a community-focused real estate and infrastructure owner, operator, lender and developer, announced today that it has signed a long-term lease with Noah Clothing, a New York-based streetwear brand, for an approximately 5,000-square-foot boutique in the Sycamore District, expanding the area’s array of distinctive designers, restaurants, galleries and services.
Noah is opening its first namesake store in Los Angeles at 911 N. Orange Dr., near the Jeffrey Deitch gallery. The New York-based men’s clothing brand with a flagship store in the SoHo area offers a full-range of menswear including tees, shirts, sweatshirts, pants, denim and suits.
Brendon Babenzien, former creative director for Supreme and creative director of J.Crew men's, and Estelle Bailey-Babenzien founded Noah with a vision of merging skate, surf and music cultures which inspires its innovative yet classic menswear collections created with quality, integrity and originality. Noah prides itself for only engaging with countries, mills and factories that treat workers with dignity and provide good working conditions in the production of its distinctive fashion collections.
“We are excited to open a space in Los Angeles big enough to encompass all aspects of the Noah brand. The concept of the store will feel more like a community space than a traditional shop. Like our other spaces, we invite our community to come for the exchange of ideas and culture, not just consumerism. Inspired by New York loft living, our newest Noah location in LA expands upon what we already represent: a space big enough to host friends for events, dinners, screenings and shows, as well as a wider product offering. Most of what you see there will also be available to purchase. Designer vintage furniture, lifestyle accessories, and art, as well as our surf and skate gear, will live alongside the Noah collections and other surprises,” said Brendon Babenzien and Estelle Bailey-Babenzien, Noah co-founders.
Noah joins nearby Sycamore District businesses including Nili Lotan, Lizzie Mandler, Jacques Marie Mage, Officine Generale, Motor Cars LA, Just One Eye, Retrospecs, Supervinyl, Pause Studio, Sandspa, Clover, Brella, Tartine, Gigi’s Hollywood, Mr. T Los Angeles, Mizlala and Sightglass Coffee in addition to art galleries Lisson Gallery and Jeffery Deitch.
Located south of Santa Monica Boulevard and La Brea Avenue between Romaine Street and Willoughby Avenue, the Sycamore District has become a distinctive corridor for retail and urban lifestyle experiences, with walkable access to eclectic culinary experiences, art galleries, and on-trend retail brands. Adding to the neighborhood’s appeal is its position within the southern portion of historic Hollywood, adjacent to West Hollywood and central to the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area.
