The Security Guard is responsible for monitoring the property premises to ensure safety of the property and its tenants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Patrols premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows and gates. Responsible for ensuring the Pool area is lock at 10:00 p.m. each evening. Responds to alarms and investigates disturbances. Notifies authorities such as fire or police department in cases of emergency (fire or the presence of unauthorized persons). Responsible for writing daily reports of activities and irregularities including but not limited to vehicles stickered, burned-out lighting in common areas, equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, accidents or injuries and other unusual occurrences. Circulate among visitors, residents, vendors and employees to ensure order and protect property.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:May be required to work weekends or after normal scheduled work hours. Perform any additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or a minimum of one year’s experience as a property security guard.MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and/or reports. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from tenants, management and members of law enforcement, etc.Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts to draw valid conclusions.
