We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to come join our Chicago office. Come join us on this exciting new opportunity for a brand new role supporting our full-service provider of capital and leveraged finance solutions business line.
This position is responsible for working with various departments to identify business application requirements, evaluate solutions and use project-management methodologies to design, implement, document, test and support the application systems for this financial services business. The role will be positioned within the business, in Chicago, IL, and report to as well as liaise with the IT administrator & services group in Los Angeles. To succeed in this role, you must be highly motivated and customer service oriented. You should have a technical and analytical background and way of thinking while also being able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Serve as the primary business analyst and application administrator for the business lineAct as a liaison between the Business and Technology to identify and implement application systems supporting various departmentsAnalyze and define requirements and recommend solutions for business applications to the stakeholders based on input from the usersPerform detailed end-to-end business process analysis and document core system processes and related applicationsDocument specific business application software requirements for complex and changing business needsSupport and manage business line financial systems and other applications. This includes, but is not limited to, design, testing, implementation, documentation, user training/support and maintenance of new and existing applicationsPerform/monitor user permissions for applicationsCoordinate with developers to implement a solution or produce custom reports for end usersStay up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systemsConduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findingsEffectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and managementGather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reportsManage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performanceMonitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for vendor management including, but not limited to, evaluation, selection, oversight of work deliverables, budget and expense management
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related disciplineFive or more years’ experience in business systems application analysis, preferably in the financial industry in an investment or banking environmentTwo years of experience with administration of Everest, Wall Street Office, Dynamics, and/or BlacklineExcellent documentation skillsDemonstrated knowledge of Debt Investment – Credit Shop/Loan ShopFinancial Industry Experience RequiredExperience with the following applications supporting a capital finance business: Everest, Wall Street Office, Dynamics, Blackline Demonstrated understanding of Project Management Methodology (PMM) fundamentals and business process analysisDemonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or similar enterprise databases and ability to query enterprise databases using SQL
